“Working with downeast destination management was an excellent experience. During the planning of our event (the first international even of it’s kind in North America) we were overwhelmed with so many details. Claudia was able to keep everything on track and we knew that any task she took on would be completed on time and with style. I have already told many colleagues about our positive experience and will be happy to work with Claudia and downeast again in the future.”

Event management can be a lot of hard work, but the results are amazing! And, how often do you get to have a Vanity Fair moment?
Upon recommendation by the Westin Nova Scotian Sales team, I acquired the services of downeast destination management for help with our 6th Annual Scientific Conference, taking place in Halifax in May 2010. Working from Guelph, having ddm in Halifax, with connections across the city, became invaluable. Originally contracted to help us run a Geo Caching Team Building Event, they became my go-to for all things local and ended up sourcing a sign printer, a glassware provider, a dinner cruise and a delegate bag giveaway, not to mention offering some excellent sightseeing advice for our participants. Having ddm in Halifax made my life as conference organizer MUCH less stressful and most definitely added to the flow and success of our event! I would recommend the downeast team, in a heart beat!

Recently the Westin Nova Scotian launched their off-site catering with a really great party. We are wishing them every success in their new venture.

It is always great to discover a unique venue. We love being able to offer our clients something really interesting and completely outside the box. Last week Claudia and I went into the ditch surrounding Citadel Hill. Prior to this field trip I must admit I was sceptical. Turns out it is fantastic, and, a perfect fit. What a great discovery and an excellent starting point for what will surely be an incredible event experience for those in attendance.
Halifax and the WTCC played host to the Brier last week. As a result we were feeling inspired and discovered that curling is a lot of fun.

“As a supplier, working with downeast has always been a wonderful experience. Their team is organized, thoughtful, timely, and are equally as passionate about the quality of our products as we are. When downeast is involved, we have the peace of mind knowing that the all the behind the scenes work leading up to our activity has been completed to perfection.”

“Our first experience working with downeast destination management was nothing short of excellent. Finding new ideas for office events can become a challenge, however from the first contact with downeast their staff, especially Jenny Hasselman, was next to none. We truly had very little to do but show up and enjoy. The staff at downeast just needed to know the number of guests and from that point on handled every last detail. Staff were professional and courteous and we look forward to future events with downeast. Many thanks to Jenny and her team.”
