Working with entertainers is always a great experience, sometimes you get the opportunity to work with someone who really understands your event space and the overall feeling you are trying to deliver to your client. We recently had the chance to work with Christina Martin and Dale Murray at a downeast event in Toronto. They were an absolute hit and better still so incredibly accommodating that we simply cannot wait to work with them again. Christina’s single Hello is number 5 on the East Coast Countdown.

Our Event Team
Yesterday we lead the Children’s Wish Exile Island event on top of Citadel Hill. In 3 hours $309,000 was raised and we granted wishes to 10 children.This is the second Exile Island for downeast and we hope the partnership continues well into the future. A tremendous charity and a truly unique and engaging fundraiser.

Atlantic Film Festival
Last evening we attended the Opening Party for the Atlantic Film Festival at Citadel Hill. It was a fantastic party! Incredibly atmospheric, great lighting and music and a very large tent.

Upon recommendation by the Westin Nova Scotian Sales team, I acquired the services of downeast destination management for help with our 6th Annual Scientific Conference, taking place in Halifax in May 2010. Working from Guelph, having ddm in Halifax, with connections across the city, became invaluable. Originally contracted to help us run a Geo Caching Team Building Event, they became my go-to for all things local and ended up sourcing a sign printer, a glassware provider, a dinner cruise and a delegate bag giveaway, not to mention offering some excellent sightseeing advice for our participants. Having ddm in Halifax made my life as conference organizer MUCH less stressful and most definitely added to the flow and success of our event! I would recommend the downeast team, in a heart beat!
